A playful coyote led a badger through a safe underground road

Unusual interaction between two completely different animals was found on hidden video cameras in the California district of Los Angeles, USA.

On the outskirts of the American city of Gilroy, a tunnel for wild animals appeared, built under the busy highway. The reason was the death of more than a hundred animals under the wheels of cars from 2018.

A group of scientists installed in the area of the “animal” underground passage of fifty-night surveillance cameras to track the behavior of animals and their movements.

The devices captured unique footage that struck the researchers: a coyote standing at the tunnel entrance, wagging its tail and rope as if calling a badger to follow it to cross a safe path.
